We’re looking for a highly-capable freelance construction project manager to lead our deliveries across Europe

Working across Europe and with a client roster that includes international names such as Five Guys, Fred Perry,, The Instant Group, and LVMH, there’s always something interesting to be a part of.

You will join us and work alongside our colleagues on a range of projects across Europe.

  • Location: Milan
  • Hours: 8AM to 6PM
  • Salary: Based on experience.

We’re looking to add to that, with the appointment of a freelance construction manager – an organised and diligent professional:

Here’s what our construction manager will be doing:

  • Planning and supervising work
  • Participating in the development, management and monitoring of budgets
  • Taking part in the elaboration, management and follow-up of schedules (study, purchase, deliveries, works, OPR, reserves, GPA)
  • Checking the execution plans of the companies, preparing and organising the construction site (human and material resources, storage, access, authorization requests, EDF and GDF networks, contact of suppliers)
  • Establishing and planning the works and interventions of the subcontractors
  • Coordinating the different interventions on the site – following the progress of the work, leading progress meetings, and guaranteeing the adherence to budgets and deadlines
  • Ensuring compliance with and application of regulations as well as Agilité’s own internal health and safety, health protection and environmental policies
  • Acting as the link between those involved in the project (customer, design office, execution teams, service providers) and ensuring the remarks made by the control bodies are taken into account
  • Identifying and correcting implementation defects or non-conformities in the execution of the work
  • Compiling site reports relating to the lots for which you are responsible
  • Leading the lifting of the points of reserve and to make sure that it is done in the times defined for each project
  • Establishing progress reports with third parties (e.g. subcontractor, architect, client, bailiff, etc.),
  • Analysing the customer's requests and needs alongside the risks and opportunities of the project
  • Reviewing the functional, environmental and technical characteristics of the type of work or product to be produced (regulations, organisations, assembly, manufacturing, operating and safety constraints)
  • Ensuring compliance with the rules regarding all aspects of HSQE and ISO requirements
  • Mastering the standard methods, norms and tools of design and implementation.

What we’re looking for from our freelance construction manager:

  • Bilingual in English and Italian
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as construction project manager

  • A team leader,
  • Flexible and able to prioritise and re-prioritise activities in the face of changes and constraints
  • Customer-oriented

  • Rigorous and organised
  • Understanding of the technical and organizational rules of the art in the field of construction
  • An excellent command of Italian and English; any other European language will be a plus,
