Meet our Paris Construction Manager... Sandja Kawe

As Agilité continues to expand throughout Europe, so does our talented team. This month, we’re getting to know our French construction manager, Sandja Kawe. Find out what he loves about working with the Agilité team, his dream customer and what he gets up to when he’s not on-site...

1. Hello Sandja! First of all, tell us what inspired you to join the Agilité team.

I joined Agilité in 2021 and was drawn to the company’s international connections and reach. Being a part of the team not only allows me to see the world but also work with people and partners from all different backgrounds and cultures – which I love.

2. Can you share a little bit about what you do, and the role you play in the delivery of Agilité's projects?

I'm a construction manager, which means I’m ultimately responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the site. Amongst other things, you’ll find me organising meetings and ensuring there’s a clear collaboration between different trades throughout the delivery of a project. Communication is one of the key pillars of Agilité’s success, and it’s a pleasure to help facilitate that.

3. How would you describe our organisation and the work we do to someone who had never heard of Agilité before?

Agilité is built on its strong team members and teamwork – from the pre-construction teams who work to win contracts to the delivery teams that oversee the smallest of details right up to the grand opening, we all have an essential role to play.

4. What has been your favourite Agilité project to work on, to-date?

Probably the Nike House of Innovation on the Champs-Élysées or our work with American law firm, Kirkland & ELLIS which involved a Cat A to Cat B fit out within an iconic Haussmann Building on Avenue Kleber, Paris.

5. What do you think sets Agilité apart from the crowd?

Goodness, this is a hard one! I would probably say Agilité stands out from the crowd with its ability to adapt to any type of project (and challenge!) and deliver even the most demanding of projects on time – regardless of circumstances.

6. If a dream customer were to call, who would it be and why?

I have to say Nike (again). It's the best project I've worked on to date, and the client was a pleasure to work with.

7. What excites you most about the future of Agilité?

Agilité is a young company with a bright future. In a short space of time, we have achieved so much with our work and the positive impact we seek to make. I am looking forward to continuing to play my part in this important and influential work.
