Team spotlight – meet Anna Filippi
We’ve worked hard to recruit some of the most experienced global talent from the world of design, build, construction and project management. Each month, we put one of our colleagues in the spotlight so you can learn a little more about their role.
Next up, it’s construction manager (Italy), Anna Filippi…
- Describe your job in one paragraph
My role as construction manager is to actively contribute to the development of our client’s ‘concrete project’ — ensuring that everything is delivered to the highest standard while reflecting the customer’s original vision.
- Which one word would colleagues use to describe you?
- Why do you think Agilité stands out from competitors?
I believe that one of Agilité’s advantages is its ability to translate clients’ needs and expectations into a reality. Each member of the team takes into consideration the nuances of the project and provides constant support throughout.
In addition, we are able to create friendly, honest, and collaborative relationships with our partner companies.
- You have worked in some amazing places around the world. Which has been your favourite?
Each project is unique, regardless of location. However, the differences in cultural approaches towards architecture constantly interest and amaze me.
- What’s your biggest career highlight to date?
When I became part of the noblest profession — teaching. A few years ago, I started teaching interior design at Accademia del Lusso, Milan on Saturdays. I’d never considered working in academia before, but I soon realised that it is an interesting, exciting and challenging adventure, and I am able to learn and discover new things every day.
- The phone rings and it’s your dream client… who is it?
I am a huge lover of art, so it would be fantastic to collaborate with an art foundation, museum, or theatre.
- What key piece of advice would you give to a client planning a fit out project on a budget?
Take the time to carefully develop the concept and make the most out of your available resources, using materials that won’t compromise the quality of the project.
Most importantly, strictly adhere to the timeframe to prevent delays along the way.
- What’s the best feature you’ve ever helped a client achieve in their office space?
Coordinating a very complex floor design with mobile partitions, lights, and furniture in an office in Milan. It was challenging and required a lot of thorough planning and research, but it was a wonderful achievement.
- When you’re not at work, where are we most likely to find you?
I consider myself a globetrotter. If I’m not working and have plenty of time to travel, you’ll most likely find me in places with lots of museums, galleries, and festivals. I just love exploring the world — experiencing nature, art, design, and different cultures.
- What’s next for Agilité?
I hope to overcome this worldwide health crisis, so that Agilité can operate and function freely and be able to deliver clients’ expectations here and abroad. I look forward to many more new and exciting adventures.
