Team spotlight – meet Maria Luisa Daglia

  1. Describe your job in one paragraph

Mine is very much a dual role – I am responsible for managing both the Italian market expansion and the key accounts for some of our corporate framework clients in Europe, especially in the retail sector. My objective is executing every project to the highest possible standard and maintaining a bespoke service for all the brands which choose Agilité.

  1. Which one word would colleagues use to describe you?

Reliable.

  1. Why do you think Agilité stands out from competitors?

With our bespoke service, we avoid any fixed process but adapt to specific client needs and expectations. Our flexible and proactive approach allows us to find competent and honest partners. We understand the client’s specific program requirements, and by sharing our skills, we customise solutions to support even the most complex projects. Finally, we work all over the Europe with consistency and commitment.

  1. You have worked in some amazing places around the world. Which has been your favourite?

I have worked in Europe, New York, China, Kenya, Egypt and always appreciated the differences, the cultural approaches and the capacity for adaptation. Amsterdam is one of my favourites, where many different nationalities contribute to its varied and lively culture.

  1. What’s your biggest career highlight to date?

May I say two? Firstly, when I delivered thirteen stores in less than six months throughout the country with a strong team and fantastic supply chain, achieving maximum client satisfaction.

Secondly, setting up a new business in Italy, following a new, corporate approach.

  1. The phone rings and it’s your dream client… who is it?

Fondazione Trussardi o Fondazione Prada, who is looking for a general contractor to fit out their new museum and public space. Ever since I qualified as an architect, my dream has been to work on a museum or art project, delivering a complex functional programme – including a restaurant, public spaces, and galleries – whilst paying close attention to the design details.

  1. What key piece of advice would you give to a client planning a fit-out project on a budget?

Share as much as possible and involve the landlord, design and construction team from the beginning. The secret is a clear understanding of the client’s expectations, what they are really looking for, and how you can can support them in achieving their target.

  1. What’s the best feature you’ve ever helped a client achieve in their commercial space?

A large metal and glazing façade installed during two weeks’ worth of night shifts. A very high-quality design, which highlights the strength of our supply chain and the high management skills of our construction team.

  1. When you’re not at work, where are we most likely to find you?

Everywhere except at home. I love travelling, preparing my backpack, experiencing new cultures, and exploring new territories and landscapes – especially with some seaside corners.

  1. What’s next for Agilité?

Consolidating our strong position in the French market and continuing to work across Europe. Establishing a new market in Italy and exploring new clients, with the target of a sustainable expansion plan in line with our values and dreams.
