Preparing Indeed.com’s London office for the return of staff

Forming part of a wider project which saw Agilité Solutions adapt Indeed.com’s offices in Milan, Zurich, Paris and Düsseldorf, the objective was to prepare the workspace for the safe return of employees – in the wake of Covid-19-related lockdowns.

The five-week scheme saw Agilité Solutions modify the existing footprint of the 5,250sqm space on Farringdon Rd, London. As well as logistical support and change management guidance, the team was also tasked with rebranding, minor decoration, and strip-out work.

As part of the delivery, the Agilité team requested and reviewed all building policies with the landlord – particularly with regards to site security structures, health and safety, waste removal and delivery constraints.

Progress was shared in real-time via a working document which was accessed by the client’s global real estate construction manager, as well as the real estate IT management and employer experience teams.

All furniture, fixtures and fittings were tested – and repaired where required – while all new IT infrastructure was also documented. The AV equipment was trialled, and all ancillary IT cabling, channels, sockets, and telephony were checked and tagged.

The original office and conference room layouts were updated according to plans, and the construction team also set up the new heat screening station and equipment – as well as the required tracking app.

In addition to coordinating vendor delivery schedules to ensure no cross-contamination threats, COVID precautions included the installation of Perspex protection screens for the front desk, the implementation of branding and hygiene installations to ensure a safer working environment as well as the management of a disinfection and deep clean prior to handover.

The project wasn’t without its challenges though, as closure of the loading bay and small service lifts made deliveries complicated, but not impossible – thanks to the on-site team’s preparation and quick-thinking.
