Ongoing retail store rollout programme for Lids in France, following our successful delivery of the first four European stores in London.
Designing inspirational spaces for global sports retailer, Lids as it continues its European rollout, creating a unique and consistent retail experience for sports fans and fashion enthusiasts alike.
Following several European store openings for US-based sports retailer, Lids -Agilité was appointed to manage the design of new outlets in the Belle Épine shopping centre, south of Paris, and the Aéroville shopping centre in the heart of the Charles-de-Gaulle airport.
The timescales for each delivery was tight, with each outlet delivered in just four weeks each, so flexible planning was required. Agilité acted on behalf of the client on all aspects of site documentation required by the two shopping centres.
To uphold the consistent store and brand identity which Lids is known for, the schedule was checked with the client every week. Project photography was shared on a weekly basis, to ensure the client’s specifications were met.
Given the extremely tight timescales, communication was a key part of the first-rate delivery. Our team had weekly meetings and met with the subcontractors on-site every two days.
Several obstacles had to be overcome. For instance, at the Aéroville, airport shopping centre, the façade work had to be undertaken before 10am and material could not be moved between 10am and 8pm. Agilité managed any exceptional requests with the two shopping centres.
In addition to design development and delivery, the team provided a range of design services, including lighting, electrical work, HVAC, graphics, finishing and flooring.
Agilité collaborated with the same subcontractors it has partnered with on other Lids projects, to ensure brand consistency, overcome challenges quickly and to achieve a fast, quality project on time and to specification.
