Transforming a university-adjacent entrance hall into a vibrant, flexible workspace.

The project focused on redesigning the entrance hall of a Colliers-managed building in the bustling university district of Milan. Agilité was tasked with handling the furniture installation and personalisation of the space, focusing on creating a dynamic environment within the 140 sqm atrium. The scope of work was limited to interior design elements – such as installing made-to-measure furniture, enhancing the lighting system and integrating biophilic design using foliage.  

Agilité collaborated closely with Colliers to ensure the design represented both the tenants and the building's professional environment. The project initially envisioned green hues throughout, but 15 days before completion, the client decided to switch to blue – meaning Agilité adjusted outstanding paint and flooring orders quickly, to mitigate any delays or additional costs. 

Communication between Agilité, Colliers, and the property management team at BNP Paribas was essential for smooth project management, with a clear focus on ensuring the client’s evolving vision was implemented without disruption. Agilité also communicated with local suppliers to ensure that all bespoke furniture and materials arrived on time, even with the unexpected design adjustments. This efficient collaboration across teams helped maintain progress without impacting the deadline. 

The project was executed with careful attention to detail, despite its relatively small scale. Agilité installed made-to-measure furniture and redesigned the lighting system to reflect a more modern, vibrant atmosphere – while movable seating and a large rug allowed for flexible use of the space, enabling it to host events, meetings or simply function as a waiting area. The project also featured innovative elements like a large video screen for presentations and the ability to reconfigure the space with moveable seating and a curtain to divide the waiting room.
