Plan

Danone sought to streamline its Milan office footprint by consolidating operations from two floors into one. Working with architect e45 and project manager Colliers, Agilité developed a delivery strategy for the light refurbishment, which required selective strip-out, new partitions and relocation of existing furniture while maintaining the existing building infrastructure.

Planning also required close alignment with the building’s LEED maintenance procedures, ensuring materials and installations complied with the building’s sustainability requirements.

Align

The project involved multiple stakeholders, with Colliers acting as project manager on behalf of Danone. Agilité worked closely with both teams to coordinate the phased programme and adapt the scope as requirements evolved.

Although no structural works were initially planned, additional remediation linked to a movable wall was incorporated later in the programme, demonstrating the team’s flexibility in responding to emerging building conditions.

Communicate

Operating in a multi-tenant building required regular coordination with the landlord’s maintenance team to ensure compliance with LEED requirements. Agilité maintained this relationship through frequent emails, calls and on-site meetings to obtain approvals and keep works aligned with building procedures.

Clear communication also helped manage a two-phase delivery programme while maintaining transparency with the client and project manager throughout

Execute

Agilité completed the light fit-out between July and November, delivering new glass partitions, joinery, acoustic panels, wall graphics and FF&E adjustments across the 2,000 sqm office space.

While light refurbishments often appear straightforward, working within an existing environment required careful handling of existing finishes and furniture. Through disciplined coordination and careful sequencing, the team successfully delivered the workspace transformation.
