Plan

Marking the second project delivery for General Motors (the first being Cadillac City Zurich), this 950 sqm customer experience centre lies in the heart of the French capital. Located opposite Opéra Garnier, Cadillac City Paris mirrors the heritage and iconicity of the brand, and has been carefully designed to spotlight the brand’s bold and innovative EV range.

Align

The building itself – designed by renowned French architect Charles Rohault de Fleury in 1860 – combines style and function, further reflecting the Cadillac ethos of blending design and technology. Working alongside architects at Gensler, value engineering was a key part of the alignment phase – providing innovative construction solutions that didn’t compromise the ambitious design plans.

Long lead time items were sourced well in advance, while 50 percent of the original HVAC installation was retained as part of our sustainability certification. And, with the project right in the centre of Paris, we worked closely with a local company to manage waste and ensure the site always remained clean.

Communicate

With experience working with the client garnered from a previous project, Agilité already understood General Motors’ preferred ways of working and communicating which helped with efficiency throughout the five-month delivery programme.

Open and continued lines of communication helped to understand the needs of all parties as well as manage the changing scope. Transparency across the board was vital to driving the project forwards while a weekly report kept everyone informed of progress.

Execute

Visitors are greeted by an entrance hall celebrating Cadillac’s connection to music and film while showcasing its dedication to design, too. The main retail space is modern with a classic twist – allowing the Cadillac LYRIQ and OPTIQ to take centre stage, against the backdrop of digital screens.

With customer experience at the heart of the space, the ground floor is dedicated to product discovery, while a mezzanine floor offers a place for private conversations and negotiations, as well as a play area for children – with automotive-themed entertainment.

Cadillac is indelibly linked to French culture and heritage, so it was only natural that we opened our flagship Cadillac City experience centre in the heart of Paris. Cadillac City Paris is symbolic of our ambition in Paris, which is to support the zero-emissions future while upholding our dedication to craftsmanship, design and innovation
