The activewear brand operates close to 600 stores worldwide – and almost 40 in Europe, including Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands, France, the UK, and Ireland.
An esteemed lifestyle and athletic clothing label, Lululemon’s new home in the German city was envisioned to reflect the vitality and spirit of the Canadian brand.
Situated in the culturally-rich city of Leipzig, the retail space features bright, fresh materials to showcase the vivid clothing range and create a refreshing shopping experience for visitors.
Taking over on the project from the previous general contractor, Agilité was required to act quickly to ensure timeframes were met and design specifications adhered to.
Overcoming numerous supply chain challenges and labour shortages throughout Germany, the team adapted to fresh requirements from third party contractors to enable work to continue at pace, and to an exemplary standard.
The team handled the entire retail fit out during the nine-month delivery, including structural work where required. Carrying out daily walk-throughs of the space allowed the teams to maintain total oversight of progress and keep the client abreast.
Despite external holdups, the handover was completed a week early and the project came in under budget. Utilising existing elements within the space — including light fixtures, shelving, natural stone flooring — Agilité was able to minimise the environmental impact of the project and respect the heritage of the listed building.
