Agilité Solutions was appointed to bring to life the first official National Basketball Association (NBA) and Fanatics store in the UK.
The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Fanatics, is a global leader in licensed sports merchandise.
The new NBA store – located on Foubert’s Place in London’s well-known pedestrian shopping area Carnaby, Soho – opened in July 2021 after a 13-week refurbishment programme.
Working alongside acclaimed design and architecture firm, Gensler, the Agilité Solutions team completely remodelled the 260 sqm space – using bespoke fixtures and fittings designed to showcase the NBA, its history, and current teams.
The two-floor store is operated by retail giant Lids, which is partly owned by Fanatics, and builds on Lids’ physical retail expertise to provide fans with an authentic NBA shopping experience.
With the client based in the US, Agilité managed the project from the ground in London, working with a robust team of sub contractors to ensure the delivery remained on time – while keeping the client updated every step of the way.
Now complete, the new store features an extensive range of official NBA and WNBA merchandise and memorabilia, including exclusive products, apparel, jerseys, headwear, sporting goods, toys and collectables from major brands such as Mitchell & Ness, New Era, Nike and Wilson. The store also features a customisation service where fans can personalise NBA jerseys and hats for all teams.
