Agilité is looking for a technical services manager / Ingeniero de Instalaciones MEP to manage and coordinate all technical disciplines across our projects in Spain, including HVAC, plumbing, high voltage electrical systems, low voltage electrical systems and building management systems.

This is a technical reference role, supporting projects from feasibility, design, budgeting and execution studies through to construction, commissioning and handover. Working closely with site, project, design, preconstruction and subcontractor teams, the technical services manager will help ensure technical compliance, support best practice and contribute to the continuous improvement of Agilité’s project procedures.

The role will support Agilité’s continued growth across Europe and our delivery of high-quality office, retail and hospitality fit-out projects for international clients.

What it takes to be a TSM at Agilité

Key responsibilities.

  • Ensuring the technical feasibility of projects
  • Participating in budget and cost estimation studies according to project requirements
  • Reviewing technical documentation to ensure compliance with contractual requirements
  • Analysing and responding to technical queries from MEP subcontractors
  • Verifying that installations comply with contractual requirements, including specifications, plans and associated technical documentation
  • Providing technical guidance to project teams during preparation, execution and close-out phases
  • Contributing to project-related reports and attending meetings as required
  • Attending, chairing and preparing meeting minutes when necessary, including customer, subcontractor, supplier, project team and technical services meetings
  • Maintaining close collaboration with contractors, technical consultants and architects to coordinate all technical aspects of each project
  • Coordinating and managing MEP subcontractors throughout the construction phase
  • Reviewing subcontractor proposals and quotations
  • Supporting value engineering initiatives and MEP cost optimisation
  • Managing technical changes and supporting change management processes
  • Organising pre-handover inspections and site visits to monitor the quality and proper execution of work carried out by subcontractors
  • Coordinating and overseeing commissioning, testing, balancing, system validation and handover activities
  • Reviewing and managing as-built drawings, O&M manuals and final technical documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with project requirements
  • Assisting with final site inspections and the completion of specific works prior to the closure of MEP snagging items
  • Ensuring the effective transfer of technical documentation and information to construction teams
  • Delivering assigned responsibilities in line with budget, schedule and quality requirements
  • Ensuring that all technical installations comply with contractual specifications and requirements
  • Analysing the functional, environmental and technical characteristics of the works or products to be delivered, taking into account applicable regulations, organisational requirements, assembly and manufacturing processes, operational constraints and safety requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental standards, as well as ISO requirements, company procedures and Agilité’s internal health and safety policy
  • Ensuring that all assigned subcontractors comply with the company’s HQSE management system, standards and procedures
  • Monitoring subcontractors to ensure they consistently meet their health and safety obligations
  • Ensuring that health and safety requirements are properly assessed, addressed and incorporated into proposals, tenders and project submissions
  • Promoting a strong safety culture across projects by proactively identifying risks and supporting the implementation of appropriate preventive measures
  • Verifying that project activities are carried out in accordance with applicable health, safety, environmental and quality standards
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement in HSQE performance across all project activities
  • Continuously identifying and evaluating opportunities to maintain, support and strengthen Agilité’s commitment to B Corp standards and certification.

Qualifications and experience.

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, energy engineering, building services engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience in HVAC, energy, thermal or MEP engineering
  • A minimum of four years’ experience in construction, fit-out, refurbishment or building services projects
  • Professional level of English, minimum B2 and ideally C1
  • Experience coordinating and managing MEP subcontractors during construction phases
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, MS Project and Microsoft Office
  • Strong knowledge of environmental engineering and renewable energy technologies
  • Sound understanding of building systems and industrial equipment
  • Proficiency in engineering calculation methods, modelling techniques and simulation software
  • Knowledge of environmental standards and regulations, including ISO 14001
  • Strong knowledge of applicable regulations and standards, including CTE, RITE, REBT, fire protection regulations and general European building standards
  • Experience working on projects pursuing sustainability certifications such as BREEAM, LEED or WELL would be highly desirable
