Following a successful delivery on the NBA London (Carnaby Street) store, Agilité was further appointed by Lids to handle design and build on NBA’s French flagship outlet.
The National Basketball Association (NBA)’s new space, located at 20 Boulevard Saint-Michel in Paris’ Latin Quarter, marks the third NBA store in Europe – joining London and Milan.
Working alongside acclaimed design and architecture firm, Gensler, Agilité remodelled the space – using bespoke fixtures and fittings designed to showcase the NBA, its history, and current teams.
At 450m2, the space needed to house an extensive range of official NBA and WNBA merchandise and memorabilia, as well as a customization area where fans can personalize NBA jerseys and hats for all 30 NBA teams.

Around two months were spent on design development – which formed a crucial part of the successful delivery. By understanding the client’s needs – alongside those of trades, subcontractors, and the demands of the supply chain.
Having worked with Lids on the opening of the NBA London store just a few months earlier, Agilité understood the needs – and nuances - of those involved in the delivery. A weekly ‘all-hands’ meeting was key to ensuring the project continued apace, with Procore’s construction management platform ‘plugged in’ to keep all stakeholders updated on the progress.
Despite the programme being cut a week short, the project was delivered on time. Collaboration with Gensler worked well – particularly where there were procurement challenges – as well as other delivery partners, including local architect Reid Brewin.
