Transforming a derelict space into the HQ of a vibrant tech firm

In the wake of several corporate acquisitions, Neosperience was looking to create a central meeting place for its 160-strong European workforce – within a new 1,400 m2 flagship headquarters in Milan, Italy.

In the wake of several corporate acquisitions, Neosperience was looking to create a central meeting place for its 160-strong European workforce – within a new 1,400 m2 flagship headquarters in Milan, Italy.

Working alongside Studiokeyø, architects, the two teams have collaborated on interior décor and, where elements of the third-party design needed to be amended, Agilité country manager Maria Luisa Daglia and construction manager Anna Filippi utilised their architectural background to assist with problem-solving around mechanical design and installation.

Redrawing and rethinking the system with a view to supporting the client, Agilité managed to avoid any impact to the timing and delivery of the programme while upholding Neosperience’s expectations.

Incorporating a site which had been left derelict for 10 years previously, the new office was designed to reflect the innovative SME’s world-leading tech capabilities and was formed by connecting two adjoining buildings together. The ensuing scale of works meant the five-month project was divided into two phases – the first of which concentrated on upgrades to the street-side structure.

Alongside creating large, open plan workspaces – and breakout meeting rooms – Agilité managed all strip out, construction, fit-out, and finishing works. This included structural updates, lighting, mechanical and plumbing installations, as well as roofing repairs and upgrades to the façade.
