At Agilité, one of our favourite things about being a B Corp is the community it connects us to. This month, we’re introducing Majestical – a creative studio based near Manchester using the power of video and animation to help purpose-led organisations tell stories that matter.

Small in size but mighty in impact, Majestical is values-driven through and through – the kind of B Corp that makes the whole community shine a little brighter. Read on to hear more from chief dreamer, Katie Nuttall.
For readers who might not know you yet, tell us – in a nutshell — who you are, what you do, and what makes your business unique?
We’re Majestical and we help purpose-led organisations drive impactful change by turning complex ideas into compelling video and animation. What makes us unique is our story-first, impact-driven approach.
What inspired you to pursue B Corp certification, and what does being part of the community mean to your organisation?
When we first heard about B Corp it felt like we’d finally found home. Up until that point we’d always dreamt of doing good work for good people that makes a meaningful difference, but we never really imagined that would be commercially viable or possible.
Very simply, being part of this community means everything to us. We’re a small creative studio and yet we feel part of something much bigger. We know our work is making a difference and that collectively, that difference has a meaningful, global impact. What’s not to love about that?!

Certification isn’t the end point – it’s the beginning of continuous improvement. How do you approach that in your day-to-day role/business operations?
It’s woven into how we think every day — almost without realising. It underpins our decision-making, from the coffee we buy to the edits we make for our clients. Purpose, authenticity and respect sit at the heart of it all.

What’s one initiative, project, or policy you’re especially proud of that’s helping to create a more sustainable or equitable business?
One of the most recent things we’re especially proud of is an e-learning project called ‘Wavemaker Digital’ that we worked on last summer, for a charity called Ocean Generation. From the nature of our collaboration through to the impact of our work, everything about this project felt like it was working towards a more sustainable, kinder future for our world.
Have you faced any challenges on your sustainability journey, and how have you overcome them?
There are always challenges, both personal and professional, and at times it can feel relentless. We overcome them by pulling together, reminding ourselves why we do what we do, asking for help and supporting one another without judgement. Life can feel like the ocean — and we surf those waves together.
Looking ahead, what’s one area of focus or innovation you’re excited about for the future of your business?
We’re particularly excited about a couple of new collaborations that we’re developing, which are rooted in our vision to inspire change and nurture growth by making digital spaces kinder. Whilst they’re in the very early R&D stages right now, we can’t wait to launch them later this year!
Collaboration is key in driving change. Are there any partnerships, campaigns, or communities that have been particularly valuable for you?

There are so many welcoming communities available to creative businesses like ours, with so much value to offer both personally and professionally. For example, we’re active members of the BBN and B Local Manchester, attending both online and in-person events. This has helped us to grow our local networks of purpose-led businesses and people, and being part of the B Corp community has been transformational for us all well. Ultimately, we’ve discovered that the more we put into these purpose-led communities the more those opportunities to collaborate reveal themselves.
What other organisations/B Corps do you admire, and why?
I really admire Molly from Effable; she has such fabulous energy, a wealth of experience and a heart of gold. I also really admire Paul from Folico, one of the nicest most altruistic human beings I think I’ve ever met.
If another company is considering becoming a B Corp, what advice would you give them before starting the process?
Ask for help. It’s really that simple. Contact a B Corp - whether you know them already or not - and ask for help. Watch all the B Lab video guidance, attend the workshops and webinars and don’t be afraid to ask for help.
And finally, what does being a “better business” mean to you personally?
It means making intentional choices based on our values. Always.

Thank you to the team at Majestical for sharing their story with us. Their reminder that “life can feel like the ocean, and we surf those waves together” is the kind of thing that stays with you.
