New Agilité Appointment Set to Spearhead Retail Sector Growth
We are delighted to announce that Agilité Solutions has appointed a new project executive to further bolster our team’s retail sector specialism.
Douglas Deptula has worked in the global construction sector for almost 20 years, in roles covering field engineering, project management and director of store development, to name just a few. He now joins Agilité at a time when our business is forecasting substantial growth in the retail sector, over the next three years.
Having most recently been employed as a construction manager with Nike, he was responsible for new store and remodelling projects throughout Europe, with a distinct focus on the French market.
He has also previously overseen a 50-store expansion plan for male clothing brand Bonobos as they grew in iconic locations including New York City, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
But Douglas can add a long list of retail brands to his portfolio of experience having been the key construction partner for Under Armour, H&M, Gap, Starbucks and more.
Commenting on why Douglas was a stand-out candidate for this new role, Agilité’s development director Kirsty Shearer said: “Douglas is a professional yet personable team leader with a clear passion for understanding every client’s specific program requirements, and developing customised solutions to help even the most complex projects succeed. He believes in creating true partnerships with all key project stakeholders which best utilises skill-sets, fosters strong communication links and ensures everyone remains focused on accomplishing one common goal.
“As a business, we have specific experience in the retail sector, alongside our commercial office work, and as we look to help more clients enter, relocate and/or expand throughout Europe, it is vital we bring the very best talent on board. Douglas has the exact mindset, experience and vision that we were looking for.”
“As the brand name suggests, this is a proactive and agile company that stands out in a crowded construction space, because of their clear, transparent and straightforward approach to project delivery and client expansion.
“The team is made up of some of the most experienced professionals from the construction, fit out and retail sectors, and I look forward to adding my expertise into the mix as we look ahead to more pan-European growth.”
